LITR TALK BACK BLOG April 19, 2008
I see that you offer cell casting. Can you tell me whaMaria L. Carlsbad, NM Maria, Maria..You've just hit upon the one of true marketing opprtunities and features of LITR. Cell casting is not only a great delivery methodology it is also a great way to reach people with cell phones and PDA's that are capable of logging on to the internet . First off, cell casting is a process where you can listen to our hosts on LITR by accessing the web then texting in a specific code so you can listen from your cell phone or other similar device both nationally and internationally. Now you don't have to be by your computer to listen to the programs. This brings up another point of interest and possibilities..namely Mobile Marketing. According to the Pew Internet Project, "58% of adult Americans have used a cell phone or personal digital assistant to do at least one of ten mobile non-voice data activities, such as texting, emailing, taking a picture, looking for maps or directions, or recording video." Now comes the big question. How many of your email receipients are using their mobile devices to read and reply to emails? If you don't know then now is a time to ask them. You can do this by creating an HTML version of your document and posting it on your web site. Next create a text version of this same email and place the HTML link at the top of this message. To make them want to click the link ensure that your offer or message is compelling or time sensitive. Now you'll be able to determine what percentage of your contacts actually use their cell phones or PDA's for email use. If you find that you have more than 10% of your contacts that actually do use their portable devices to receive emails then you'l want to have two versions of your newsletter; one HTML and one text. This way you've covered all your bases. Talk Back at you later! Stephan www.linkedin.com/in/liveinternettalkradio
